Just a mom doing her best

because Supemom isn’t a real thing

highlight reel

hey there

a little more about me…

Hey there! I’m Kristen, and I am a mom to 3 boys.

I thrive when I’m helping other women embrace their real, messy, and beautiful lives. Around here, you’ll find a mix of relatable mom-life stories, thrifty finds (because who doesn’t love a good deal?), midsize fashion inspo that feels both chic and comfortable, and skincare tips that keep us glowing—no matter how many sleepless nights we’ve had.

I keep it real—loving Jesus while still dropping the occasional four-letter word—and believe in creating a space that’s authentic, uplifting, and judgment-free. Whether you’re here for some creative inspiration, a deep dive into faith-filled living, or just to laugh about the chaos of motherhood, you’re in the right place.

Oh, and did I mention I’m also a photographer? From capturing brands to helping moms feel confident in front of the camera, I’m here to turn your moments and ideas into lasting memories and scroll-stopping content.

How did I get here?

I started blogging and sharing my life on social media right around the time I became a stay at home mom. That was back in the Fall of 2007. I had just quit my teaching job and was staying home with our 18 month old. I needed an outlet and a way to keep our family and friends up to date with what all was going on now that I’d made such a huge change in our lives.

Facebook had just opened up to everyone a year before and Twitter wasn’t even a big deal yet. There was no such thing as Instagram, so sharing our lives via blogging was my go to. It wasn’t long before I was meeting other moms and creating community in the blogging space. I’d always been a writer, it was my favorite way to express myself, so getting started wasn’t hard for me. It’s amazing all of the resources that are at our fingertips today, but the only way you could do it back then was to read books on blogging, attend conferences and shadow people you admired in the field.
