Review: ReadingEggs.com

When I was asked to try out and review Reading Eggs, I was beyond excited!  Learn to read online, it's never been so easy!  My son loves to play on the computer and we're all about games that are fun but also teach!

We bounced between Reading Eggs {4-7 yr olds} and Reading Eggspress {7-13 yr olds}  My son set up his account and avatar all by himself, it's that easy!  He loved the whimsical characters and fun songs.  He's still walking around the house singing, "Mmm, you're clever!"

Within each lesson, an animated character like Sam the Ant (below) models the concept for them and then guide the student through activities to ensure they understand. A student must get 7 correct answers before moving on.

"Learning to read can be easy and fun!

Reading Eggs makes learning to read interesting and engaging for kids, with great online reading games and activities.

And it really works!

Children love the games, songs, golden eggs and other rewards which, along with feeling proud of their reading, really motivate children to keep exploring and learning."

Reading Eggs is an online reading program for students between the ages of 4-7 and has been developed by educators and educational writers. The program uses both phonics and sight words to teach and reinforce what is taught in school or at home.

I not only love that he's learning while playing but that I can go on at anytime and check his progress.  It grows with him also, so as he masters something it challenges him with new material.
