Has anyone seen Kristen?
Kristen's missing. We're not sure where she is, but she's gone.
A little back story:
Brandon's at work and little man is with his Grandpa and I'm in fact, home alone. I woke up feeling like Kevin McCallister (if you don't understand that reference we can't be friends anymore), calling for everyone to then realize, no one is here.
I think to myself, what can I do today? I'm kid free. I start off my day with coffee, a phone conversation with a friend and 3 loads of laundry. I take the dog for a walk, I come home and put the dishes away and it's only 1 pm. Now what? Seriously, this is what my life has come to. I have absolutely no clue what to do with myself.
So, as I sit here and watch So You Think You Can Dance re-runs on YouTube I realize I have no life. Most of my friends have kids and lets face it, when your kidless for the day the last thing you want to do is hang out with other peoples kids. Let's just say it, I need a hobby. I need to become a gym-rat, take up crochet, learn how to sew, join a dance troupe, or join a bowling league, ha, something. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having your own hobbies that don't include your children. I love my son with all of my heart, but there has to be an identity outside of mom. I need to find Kristen.
Anyone else out there feel a lot of their identity has been lost since having a child? What do you do that helps you regain that?
